This article is about the current version of DF.
Note that some content may still need to be updated.

A humanoid with the head, tail and poison spurs of a platypus.

Platypus people are an amphibious surface-dwelling tribe of animal people. They appear in savage river biomes in groups of 5-10, and proceed to roam across the map. While not overly confrontational, platypus people will fight if threatened. Platypus men have a venomous "kick" attack which can inflict severe pain and swelling; platypus women are not venomous.

Some dwarves express a preference for platypus people's bizarre appearance, venomous spurs, flat tails, or large bills.

D4Dwarf.png This article or section has been rated D for Dwarf. It may include witty humour, not-so-witty humour, bad humour, in-jokes, pop culture references, and references to the Bay12 forums. Don't believe everything you read, and if you miss some of the references, don't worry. It was inevitable.

Contrary to popular rumors, there are no records of any civilization having ever recruited platypus men as secret agents.
