This article is about the current version of DF.
Note that some content may still need to be updated.

A person with the head and flat tail of a beaver.

Beaver men are animal people variants of the common beaver who can be found in savage temperate lakes and rivers. They spawn in groups of 2-5 individuals and are generally content to keep to themselves. In terms of size, they are over half the weight of the average dwarf.

Like other savage animal people, beaver men can join civilizations, become historical figures, appear as visitors and be playable in adventurer mode.

Some dwarves like beaver men for their dams and their tree-feeding habits.

D4Dwarf.png This article or section has been rated D for Dwarf. It may include witty humour, not-so-witty humour, bad humour, in-jokes, pop culture references, and references to the Bay12 forums. Don't believe everything you read, and if you miss some of the references, don't worry. It was inevitable.

Despite popular belief, there are no two beaver siblings with the moniker of "Norbert" and "Daggett". Beaver men do not live in human-like houses that double as a living space as well as a dam.
