They can be tamed but because of their drops and relatively low return yield, taming raccoons is rarely useful unless a player is very short on food. It should be noted, though, that despite their size, raccoons don't have the <code>[[Creature token#B|[BENIGN]]]</code> tag, and, as such, will attack any hostiles they come across. Their usefulness in combat is limited, however, by their small size and the fact they can't be trained, although they can occasionally get a lucky shot.

Use

They can be tamed but because of their drops and relatively low return yield, taming raccoons is rarely useful unless a player is very short on food. It should be noted, though, that despite their size, raccoons don't have the [BENIGN] tag, and, as such, will attack any hostiles they come across. Their usefulness in combat is limited, however, by their small size and the fact they can't be trained, although they can occasionally get a lucky shot.
