Wikipedia article

This article is about the current version of DF.
Note that some content may still need to be updated.

A large mammal with great antlers and a large nose. It lives in temperate forests.

Moose are large herbivores that live in non-tropical forests. They are considered exotic and are thus more difficult to acquire than other grazers. However, tame moose need a pasture to survive, so you may be better served by just hunting moose rather than domesticating them.

A male Moose is called a bull moose, and is considerably larger than a female cow moose (the sizes shown at right are for a bull moose).

Moose are admired for their large size and broad antlers
D4Dwarf.png This article or section has been rated D for Dwarf. It may include witty humour, not-so-witty humour, bad humour, in-jokes, pop culture references, and references to the Bay12 forums. Don't believe everything you read, and if you miss some of the references, don't worry. It was inevitable.

The Moose is capable of bringing down the toughest adventurers and soldiers, with hooves that cave in skulls with frightening ease. This creature has been dubbed the Scourge of Canada by survivors of such horrific encounters.
