This article is about the current version of DF.
Note that some content may still need to be updated.

A long-limbed person with the head and tail of a spider monkey.

Spider monkey men are an animal people variant of the rare spider monkey, living in tropical broadleaf forests, similarly to their precedents. They spawn in groups of 1-5 individuals and are generally content to keep to themselves. In terms of size, they are a little over half the weight of the average dwarf.

Like other savage animal people, they can join civilizations, become historical figures, appear as visitors and be playable in adventurer mode.

Some dwarves like spider monkey men for their long arms and their prehensile tails.

D4Dwarf.png This article or section has been rated D for Dwarf. It may include witty humour, not-so-witty humour, bad humour, in-jokes, pop culture references, and references to the Bay12 forums. Don't believe everything you read, and if you miss some of the references, don't worry. It was inevitable.

Despite some claiming otherwise, no spider monkey men have been known to possess abilities reminiscent of actual spiders, nor have any human children ever been known to transform into one.
