ShiftingSeas (talk | contribs) (As of v51.06, the bug involving the swapping of sprites between the tiger shark, whale shark and whitetip reef shark has been patched. The game now presents the correct graphic for each creature. As such, I have edited the bugs section.) |

v51.08 · v0.47.05 This article is about the current version of DF.Note that some content may still need to be updated. |
- A medium-sized fish which shelters in caves on the shallow sea floor. It hunts for food in packs but is not aggressive.
Whitetip reef sharks are cartilaginous fish that can be found in tropical oceans. At half the size of a dog, they pose no threat to dwarves. As fully-sized creatures, they can't be fished by fisherdwarves, but can be caught with a drowning chamber. An infant whitetip reef shark is called a whitetip reef shark pup.
Being cartilaginous, whitetip reef sharks won't give bones if butchered (though they'll still provide a skull).
Some dwarves like whitetip reef sharks for their distinctive dorsal fin.
Bugs
- The sprites for the tiger shark, the whale shark and the whitetip reef shark were incorrectly swapped in-game. As of v51.06, the sprites render correctly.
