Merpeople are fanciful creatures that can be found in good aligned oceans. They can be seen swimming in pods of three to six individuals.

Merpeople are intelligent and can speak, though they lack the ability to equip humanoid equipment and do not appear to make their own. They cannot be tamed and are somewhat larger than dwarves, but they are benign and will avoid confrontations should a dwarf accidentally fall into their ocean.
