Wikipedia article

This article is about the current version of DF.
Note that some content may still need to be updated.

A medium-sized herbivore that lives in the high mountains, able to navigate the slopes despite its hooved feet.

Mountain goats can often be seen in groups of three or more animals; they will often scatter when approached. They should not be confused with the domesticated goat. One-on-one, a military dwarf should have no problem dispatching a mountain goat, but the goat may get lucky and land a kick on the head. Oddly, they yield no eyes when butchered.

Mountain goats can be tamed by an animal trainer. If tamed, they require a pasture to survive.
