Wikipedia article

This article is about the current version of DF.
Note that some content may still need to be updated.

A large monster in the shape of a chinchilla.

Giant chinchillas appear ubiquitously in a savage mountain biome in small groups, and are the giant version of chinchillas. They walk around blissfully and do not try to eat your dwarves. They are cannon fodder for your ruthless uncontrollable murderers hunters. They can be captured, tamed, and kept as pets or bred as livestock for your meat industry.

Some dwarves prefer giant chinchillas for their fur.
