A huge woolly mammal with two horns.

Woolly rhinoceroses are large prehistoric creatures that are only slightly smaller than their modern descendants, rhinoceroses. They are found in savage tundras and temperate grasslands, appearing in herds of 3-7. They are benign grazers. While extinct in real life, their appearance is dependent on the settings chosen when creating a world. A young woolly rhinoceros is called a calf.

Woolly rhinoceroses can be captured in cage traps and trained into exotic pets. They can be further trained into war beasts with a similar strength and growth rate to rhinoceroses but mature into adults much faster. Their large size makes them a good choice for both the meat industry and textile industry, though they consume more grass than domestic shearable options. They and the woolly mammoth are the only prehistoric animals that can be sheared and the only shearable creatures that can be war trained. Woolly rhinoceroses become adults after 1 year but do not reach their full size until they are 5.

Woolly rhinoceroses may appear in sieges as exotic mounts.

Some dwarves like woolly rhinoceroses for their horns and wool.
