v50.14 · v0.47.05 This article is about the current version of DF.Note that some content may still need to be updated. |
- A huge monster in the form of a python.
Giant pythons are the largest snakes in the game, larger than hippos and walruses. While not poisonous, their bite is strong enough to reliably tear entire limbs off your dwarves, armor and all. They should only be approached by multiple seasoned military dwarves in full regalia, or better yet, avoided entirely.
While giant pythons can be captured and tamed, they cannot breed. Giant pythons require 20 years of growth to reach full size, but only live 10-20 years, meaning they rarely reach their most imposing size.
Some dwarves admire giant pythons for their great size.
